Thinking about therapy and counselling?
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know therapy is right for me?
If you’re experiencing challenges such as stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, therapy can be a valuable resource to gain skills, build confidence, and make meaningful change. Therapy is also a great option for anyone seeking personal growth, increased self-awareness, or strategies to manage day-to-day stress. Individual therapy, couples therapy, and relationship counselling can all provide support tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re seeking in-person therapy in Calgary or online counselling, we can help you take the first step.
How do I get started?
Booking a therapy session is simple. You can schedule an appointment for in-person therapy in Calgary or secure online counselling sessions that fit your schedule through our booking page. If you’re unsure which service is right for you, we offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs, answer questions, and help you determine the best path forward.
What should I expect during my first appointment?
During your first session, your therapist will ask questions to understand your story, current struggles, and goals. Together, you’ll begin to outline a plan for growth and change. This appointment is also an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable with your therapist and if their approach—whether individual therapy or couples counselling—aligns with your needs.
How do I know if therapy is working?
Progress in therapy can be gradual, but you may begin to feel more empowered to handle stress, notice emotional relief, or observe positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. Your therapist will regularly review your goals and progress to ensure therapy remains effective.
Do you offer a free phone consultation?
Yes! We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for potential new clients. This no-pressure opportunity allows you to ask questions, discuss your goals, and determine if our individual therapy, couples therapy, or online counselling services are the right fit. You can book your consultation directly on our booking page.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand life can be unpredictable. We kindly request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations are subject to a $100 fee, and missed appointments without notice are charged the full session fee, as your time is reserved exclusively for you.
