FAQs
How do I know therapy is right for me?
If you’re experiencing challenges like stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or big life transitions, therapy can be a helpful resource for you. Therapy is also a good fit for those looking for personal growth and ways to cope with day-to-day struggles.
What should I expect during my first session?
In your first session, you can expect questions to help your therapist better understand your story and your current struggles. There will be a focus to begin to set some goals and set out trajectory for change. This is a great opportunity to assess if you feel comfortable with your therapists if their approach feels right for you.
How often do I schedule a therapy session?
This is typically determined through a collaborative conversation between you and your therapists. Many people find it helpful to initially book an appointment on a bi-weekly basis while developing skills and awareness, with the goal to spread these appointment times further apart as you experience change.
How do I know therapy is working?
Progress in therapy can be subtle and take time, but you’ll likely start to feel more empowered to handle life stressors, experience emotional relief, or notice changes in your thoughts or behavior. Your therapists will check in with you regularly to assess your goals and progress.
