Great North Therapy Services is seeking to hire Psychologists and Masters of Social Work therapists as Independent Contractors who are able to provide individual or couples therapy virtually throughout Canada, or in-person in Calgary Alberta.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • You are a Registered Psychologist or Masters Level Social Worker in good standing with your Provincial Regulatory College and hold current liability insurance (Please note: we are unable to supervise Registered Provisional Psychologists are require you to have an external supervisor. You must have completed for EPPP and LEAP exams prior to application)

  • You can provide a criminal record check, with a Vulnerable Sector Check, valid within the last 6 months

  • You have a minimum of 5years of direct clinical experience with individuals and couples. Candidates who hold training and certifications in EMDR, ART, ACT, EFIT, IFS and Gottman Method will be given preference. You have tangible experience with attachment-focused, trauma-informed care, and able to engage in process-based therapy with clients

  • You are comfortable and have experience building client relationships and rapport using virtual platforms and are open to integrating digital tools (video, audio etc) into your practice

  • You are a fluent English speaker with the ability to quickly establish trust and therapeutic relationships with your clients

  • You have knowledge of community-based resources in your regulatory province

  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
